Fall/Thanksgiving (11/12-11/19)

Here is a look at our last three days of preschool :)

Fall/Thanksgiving activities

* We did a bat art project.  I know- this is more of a Halloween theme!  But I've had it ready for a while and we kept running out of time to do it, so we finally got around to it.  Only the glue was still wet, so it will come home next week.

Literacy

* We built letters out of plastic, magnetic letter pieces (Lakeshore Learning kit).

* We reviewed sight words and played a sight word game called Bang!

* We read I'd Really Like to Eat a Child and Can You Make a Scary Face?

Math

* We talked about subtraction with a book called 10 Fat Turkeys.

* We added pictures of the kids to the month of their birthday on our bulletin board.  Holidays and birthdays really help the kids start to understand how long a year is.

Fine Motor Skills

* The kids used magnetic drawing boards to trace lower case and capital letters.

* The kids strung lower case letters on pipe cleaner.

* The kids played with cloud slime, butter slime, and some other kinds of slime 😆  Look how cute they are washing their hands afterwards.

Other

* The kids have been very interested in Spanish since they found out Benji can speak both Spanish and English.  So I asked Tom to come teach them a little Spanish.  They loved it!

* We played a game called Are You Ready for Kingergarten? It's a great review game for math and literacy concepts, plus it involves lots of counting throughout the game as the kids try to find out how much money they've earned.

* The kids built a fort, played with alphabet robots, and built with magnet blocks 😍

* Lots of fun outside

Have a great weekend!
